Gina K. Designs December Challenge

 ❆ Let It Snow ❆

The theme for this month is Let It Snow! I decided to create two cards for this challenge.

For my first card, I chose to showcase intricate, blue snowflakes using the Gina K. Designs Snowflake Die Cover Plate. For the background layer, I added a lighter blue for a classic tone on tone effect. I cut out a sentiment from the Winter Cheer Sentiment Strips & added some glistening specs with silver jewels.

My second card showcases the beauty of each snowflake.  I stamped three different snowflakes from the Seasonal Sentiments Stamp Set using Powder Blue, Lovely Lavender, & Plum Punch. I used the coordinating die set to cut the snowflakes. The sentiment is also from the same seasonal stamp set & stamped in the color Plum Punch. For a layered look, I used a purple base with the additional blue cover. I created some dimension with the medium and large snowflakes by adhering to a raised foam square. I hand cut the bottom layer from 3 pieces of white cardstock to create a snowbank; adding a foam square for some dimension as well. To add tone on tone sparkle, I chose blue and purple jewels.
